Tampa Bay Lightning

The Tampa Bay Lightning are pleased to support local nonprofit organizations through our in-kind donation program. Each year, the in-kind donation program supports hundreds of organizations by providing signed memorabilia that can be used to fundraise.

In order to be fair and consistent, we ask that organizations seeking donations please adhere to the following guidelines:

• All requests must be submitted online; we do not accept requests by mail, email, fax, or phone.
• Requests must be received at least 90 days before the event.
• Donated items must be picked up at Benchmark International Arena. Unfortunately, we cannot mail items. Donations are available for pick up based on arena and staff availability.
• We are unable to accept personal items to be autographed
• Volunteers may submit requests on behalf of an organization, but duplicate requests from the same group may be declined
• We are able to provide donations to organizations or groups that are within a 75-mile radius of Benchmark International Arena
• Approved requests will be contacted 5-6 weeks prior to the event. An email will come from tampabaylightning@approveforgood.com
• Submission does not guarantee approval


The Lightning receive hundreds of donation requests each week, the demand far outweighs our ability to offer support via an in-kind donation. Therefore, the Lightning are not able to provide in-kind donations for the following organizations/causes:

• Preschools, PTA/PTO, nursery schools, or private schools
• Individual fundraising events (walk-a-thons, Relay for Life, etc.)
• Third-party campaigns (e.g., American Cancer Society, Alzheimer’s Association) — The Lightning Foundations proudly supports these organizations directly
• Recreational activities (field trips, graduation nights, etc.)
• Political, religious, advocacy, or special interest groups
• Travel funds, conferences, seminars, workshops
• Organizations conflicting with Lightning goals or affiliations


We’re happy to support local organizations whenever possible. Our donations most often come in the form of autographed merchandise. While we’re unable to provide monetary support or ticket donations due to limited availability, we’re glad to contribute in ways that can still make an impact.
